Rob Butterfield
Chris George
Farid Medjane
After a few years of solo shows for Marshall Amplification, Chris was offered the chance to take his own choice of musicians on the road with him and the band soon became known as the Chris George Band/Marshall Band. Chris found CGB drummer Farid Medjane "walking the red light district of Paris looking like a lost puppy" says Chris (they actually met at a music show in Nantes, France where Chris was playing for Marshall and Farid for D-Drums). CGB bass player Rob Butterfield (also known as the gentleman of the outfit that holds everything together on and off stage) has been a long time friend/collaborator/producer of Chris, and the chemistry of the three of them provides an awesome musical experience, as anyone who has seen them play will agree. Their brand of Chris's original instrumental rock and their take on classic rock songs from the past is something very fresh and raw (and did we mention the only drum solo in the world that involves everyone in the room as well as glasses, ashtrays and champagne buckets?!). As Chris says: "Being the demonstrator for Marshall Amps for any guitar player is a dream but to create my own band around it is completely unique, being able to play what we want all over the world with no record company pressure or bullshit."
