Well, I'm not knowing me arse from me elbow at the minute, just crazy busy! Where shall I start?!
So, since my last journal, the first main thing that happened was the Middlesborough Guitar Show, which was cool. I did it with the backing tracks which was weird as I hadn't used 'em in over a year, and it felt very lonely without my boys up there with me I tell ya'! On the way up to Middlesborough I got busted for speeding on the M1, a real shit as the roads were clear and I was trying to make up a bit of time. After all the miles I've done this year it was bound to happen at some point, especially after the Waysted tour where I drove myself back and forwards to most of the gigs to be home with the family. I just wanna say thanks to the West Yorkshire Police who let me off pretty lightly. What speed was I doing? Well, the cops told me to try and stay out of three figures, so let's leave it at that!

A couple of days later we packed our bags and headed out to Russia for the Marshall Day in Moscow, Rob, Farid and I had been looking forward to this one for a while, as we'd been out last year and kind of knew what to expect. We were joined on the trip by Victoria Marshall, Paul Brewis, and of course Jim and Zena. As we arrived, we were all greeted by the same team of security guys from last year, had a police escort and various armoured cars. Because we had a few days out there before the actual show, we used the time in PetroStudio, where finally, we managed to record the album. We did it all in three days and the studio and Sasha our engineer was fantastic. 'The Marshall Band' album will hopefully surface in the new year after we've decided on artwork and packaging. It's being mixed in Moscow as we speak and is going to sound really cool, it's pretty much in the same vein as our live show, and yes, Voodoo Chile is on there in it's entirity.

The show itself in Moscow was great, we went on after a lot of top Russian rock bands so weren't quite sure how we'd be received, but the crowd really dug it which was totally cool. The venue and sound was superb. A couple of days later we flew out to Kiev in the Ukraine for pretty much the same thing. It was our first time to Kiev and it's a really cool place, much more chilled out than Moscow and the show we did there was very cool, people never really know what to expect from us, and they don't forget us in a hurry!! We were away a total of 10 days and all had a great time, although at times it was hard being away from my girls, but hey, it makes coming home that much nicer. Thanks to Luiza, Vladimir and everyone from Petroshop for making the trip what it was. Same time next year?

After being home a couple of days it was straight out to start the British Roadshows which we're currently in the middle of. We headed out to Wallingford first off, near Oxford, then we headed down to Exeter. Both shows were great and it's always great to see so many people coming out to meet Jim. Then a couple of days later we were in Hunstanton for the Guitar Show there. It's the 4th time I've done that show and this year was definitely the best having the band there. Thanks to everyone who came up and spoke to us. After Hunstanton we were in Hastings and Folkestone last week for more Roadshows, which again were excellent. Tomorrow we go to Truro, then Torquay, and then Bognor Regis, Frome and Eastbourne before we do the Liverpool Guitar Show. If you're around, come see us!!

See ya' soon,
