So, Waysted have just finished our UK tour and the last 3 shows were fantastic. After Milton Keynes we headed up to Clethorpes and onto Leeds, both shows were great and again, everyone there had a great time. The Sunderland show was called off which was a real shit but we'll be back there soon I hope. Then we were up to Glasgow which was the show we'd all been looking forward to, a kind of homecoming for Fin. The venue was the usual hot and sweaty place and the crowd were wild. There was around 200 in. Before soundcheck that afternoon we headed to the Solid Rock Cafe where quite a few of the fans were meeting for a pre gig drink or ten. We turned up and they showed us a DVD they'd made up of Waysted footage new and old, it looked really great, maybe we'll try and get it up on the Waysted site. We headed over to soundcheck and did our thing and me and Pete headed over to the hotel. We got back to the venue around 9pm and hit the stage about half an hour later. The crowd were superb, and hanging on Fin's every word. The show for us was the best so far on the tour and we had a really great time. After, we headed up to the bar and hung with the fans for a while before going back to the hotel. Me and Pete were sharing a room (!) and it was certainly an experience, that's for sure. During the night Pete was trying to find the bathroom in our presidential suite (ha ha) and stacked it on the luggage rack. The following day he showed us the bruise and since it's turned out he has a couple of broken ribs. It could only happen to Pete....
The following night we were in Sheffield and everything was a bit more relaxed for us, the sound on stage was great and the crowd were a real surprise as to how many people showed up and how much they dug it, I think from our point of view it was even better than Glasgow. And then the final night in Sutton, it was a really great show again, and some people had ventured out from London to see us which was great, it was a fantastic last night of the tour.

We all had a blast on this tour and it wouldn't have been possible without the following:

Mark 'Mad Dan' McCafferty & Jim (the Bert & Ernie of Glasgow, Mark you're Ernie)
'Big' Chris King, Sam and Student (out of all the techs I've had you're definitely one of them)
Vek our dedicated tour manager (warm up Kiev for me)
Dale and Simon from DS promotions (I wasn't going to hit him, honest, ha ha!)
The one and only Waysted Webbywoman (without you, none of this would have happened)
And to everyone who came out and saw, enjoyed, and had a great time (we're doing it all again soon...)

So that's that for the time being with Waysted but there's more to come soon so watch this space.

I've got a week or so off to spend with my girls before I head up to the Middlesborough Guitar Show and then out to Moscow and Kiev for days honouring all things Marshall related with my boys the Marshall Band, and of course the boss himself. Last year in Moscow was great amongst all the armed security guys, hummers, police escorts and running red lights. This year it's a longer trip and the same thing will be happening in Kiev too.

See ya'!
