The end of the year already?! Where the hell did this year go?!
So sorry it's been a while but here we are again. Since last time the Marshall Band have been crazy busy finishing the UK shows for the year. We had some great shows in Truro, Torquay, Bognor Regis, Eastbourne and Frome and also at the Liverpool Guitar Show. Thanks to everyone who came along, it seems since Moscow we've just been constantly playing, but that's how we like it.
After all those shows, I needed a break so we took Ellie on her first holiday to Spain which was really great, the weather was nice and warm during the day, great considering it was the beginnig of December. Straight after getting back, I had to go out on the road with Waysted. We had three shows to do in Birkenhead, Glasgow and Cleethorpes. The first show in Birkenhead was cool and it didn't feel like it had been a couple of months since we played as it all came together nicely. Everyone was on great form. The second night in Glasgow was a support slot for our pals The Quireboys. As we played in Glasgow on the tour in September, we had quite a lot of fans show up for this one too. It was a great show and The Quireboys were excellent. They're great guys and it was cool to see them again. Spike and Pete - what a dangerous combination....Big thanks to the guys for having us on board. I flew home the following morning as we had the day off, it was cool because I was back in my house before 9am. The last show in Cleethorpes was great as we were returning there again as well. Thanks to everyone who came to these shows, we had a blast as always.
Last Friday, the Marshall Band played at the Marshall Xmas Party for all the staff there. It was a totally cool way to finish off the year, playing for the people that make the amps so they can see what we're doing when we go out doing shows. It was a really great night and the last time I'd see Farid and Rob for a while as our first show of next year isn't until February, what am I going to do?! It's going to be strange after playing so much recently. We certainly went out with a bang and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Thanks to all the guys at Marshall for everything this year, we've had a really cool time being out on the road. We're still waiting for the final mix of our album from Moscow, it shouldn't be too long now I hope, and it should be out in the new year. Watch this space!
Have a great Christmas, holy shit, I'll be 25 on the 1st January, I'm getting old!!!!
See ya'
