Hi guys, just to fill you in on what's been happening the past few weeks:

Waysted did the Rock & Blues Custom Show which, despite all the mud, was a great day and a really good warmup for the tour. Our old pal Dave Ling was there so there should be a review of the festival in Classic Rock Magazine at some point. We played possibly the best so far and it all really came together. There's been a great response since so, who knows, maybe we'll be back there next year. Pete, Fin and Paul are all doing fine and we're all looking forward to the tour, go get your tickets now!!!
On the way home from Derbyshire that night I stopped in at Jim (Marshall's) 82nd birthday party, I got there just after midnight and was a bit fried but managed to see everyone, as these parties go on for a wee while that's for sure. Farid and Rob were there, Farid came over especially for the party, so we hung out and drank and talked band stuff before we left, I also saw Bernie Marsden there who I haven't seen since last year in the studio when I was doing my bit for Back From The Dead, he's doing great and was good to see him if only briefly. All in all it was a great way to finish the day.

Then the week after, Farid came back for Fenmews in Wisbech, it was a 2 day local outdoor festival which Marshall sponsored so we had a slot on the stage too. At first, I wasn't sure just how our brand of rock n' roll would go down, but the crowd loved it, the second day was even better. Thanks to everyone that came and saw....

Also, there's been an official Waysted bootleg released by Majestic Rock. It was recorded when we supported The Quireboys back in February and was my first appearance with the band. By all accounts it sounds cool so just before you see us on the tour, grab a copy of that to see what you're in for!! It's available at Majectic's site, which is in the links page.

I have a couple of weeks off now for something we're all looking forward to immensely (all will become clear in the next few days, keep checking back) then the Marshall Band head out to Newcastle and on to Penrith for the guitar show up there which is always a good crack. If you fancy a laugh, check out my schedule for September on the Tour Dates page. Let's just say I didn't plan on getting much sleep anyway....(?)
